About

Brazilian multidisciplinary artist based in London, with a background in classical ballet, contemporary dance, and somatic practices. Flora's work explores various creative arts, focusing on enhancing the well-being of communities through movement and collective engagement.
Since her Master’s studies, Flora has been developing an ongoing research project inspired by the ideas of a work of the philosopher and poet Édouard Glissant. This evolving methodology that centres on relationality and connectedness, includes a variety of multi-sensory tools - such as writing, handling clay, movement, and listening dynamics - that invite participants to engage in a shared space of exploration and reflection.
In her practice, Flora creates spaces - both within facilitation and presentation settings - where people can engage at their own pace, take time to reflect, and connect with others. She believes in the importance of creating environments where individuals feel comfortable to slow down, process information, and rest, all within a collaborative context.
Dance
With a background in classical ballet, including training in Brazil and the United States, Flora holds a Master's degree in Fine Arts - Creative Practices from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance (UK) and a Bachelor's degree in Contemporary Dance and Somatic Education from Angel Vianna College (BR).
She has studied classical ballet at institutions such as the State School of Rio de Janeiro (BR) and The Rock School for Dance Education (USA), and was contracted as a ballet dancer with Ballet West II for the 2015-2016 season in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Having previously taught classical ballet and contemporary dance, Flora currently facilitates creative sessions that focus on wellbeing.

Production
Flora's journey in production began as an assistant on various film retrospectives at Centro Cultural Banco do Brasil and Caixa Cultural, developed by BLG Entertainment.
Over time, her creative work expanded by producing soundtracks for her solo dance projects, editing music videos, and, in 2021, launching a first major project, 'Em Movimento', where she was the creative director, curator, and co-producer. Since then, she has been self-producing a range of smaller projects in London.
Baltz is a partner at Baltazar Produção & Conteúdo (BR), a company with a proven track record in Brazil, dedicated to cultural projects on audiovisual productions, film retrospective projects, dance projects and the editing of film catalogues.
